Risk Managers:
How Is Your Supply Chain Role Changing?

Our recent study, undertaken in conjunction with Risk & Insurance Magazine, uncovered that:

  • Nearly 75% of risk managers surveyed report that their companies' risk levels have increased since 2005 and 71% say that the financial impact of supply chain disruptions has grown.
  • Not one study participant considers their current supply chain risk management practices to be highly effective. Only 35% say they are moderately effective.
  • More than two-thirds of risk managers say that their companies expect them to assist with both insurable and uninsurable supply chain risks.
  • Nearly 8 out of 10 participants say that risk managers' effectiveness depends on increased understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes.

Findings such as these strongly indicate that there will be a coming wave of greater supply chain risk mangement transparency demands by senior executives, customers, business partners, underwriters, policy makers, and financial markets.
